Beehive Co-op

The mission for this innovative boutique centered on nurturing and advocating for emerging designers, operating as an incubator and bringing handmade products to market. An early pioneer in the artisanal brand movement, Beehive channels included brick & mortar stores (Beehive Co-op) and ecommerce (beehivestyle.com).

The concept behind this retail incubator demanded that the branding and store design be visually cohesive, inviting, and fresh but also provide each individual vendor a blank canvas from which to market and merchandise their own products. The intention was to create a lively, colorful, and fun community that encouraged connection and invited exploration. Custom fixtures were designed in raw birch offering a warm but neutral backdrop for all types of products and a flexible puck system allowed for easy reconfiguration.
